Food & beverage processing hose
NSF/3A certified hose for potable water, juice, dairy, and edible oil transfer. Non-toxic, odorless inner tube designed for sanitary processing.
Best for: potable water lines, juice & beverage filling, dairy transfer, edible oil handling
Food grade PVC hose
Our NSF/3A certified food-grade PVC hose is purpose-engineered for sanitary processing environments. The non-toxic, odorless inner tube meets NSF/ANSI 51 and NSF/ANSI 61 standards, ensuring zero plasticizer migration into food products.
The smooth bore minimises bacterial harborage and makes CIP cleaning effective. A clear or blue PVC cover allows visual inspection of flow, while the reinforced construction maintains full bore integrity under continuous pump operation. Compatible with standard tri-clamp and camlock fittings for rapid line changeovers.
Challenges solved by food-grade processing hoses
Product contamination from hose materials
Standard PVC and rubber hoses can leach plasticizers, heavy metals, and processing aids into food products. Our NSF/3A certified hoses use food-grade compounds with zero leachables — eliminating contamination risk from hose materials and protecting brand integrity.
Hose odor tainting food products
Many hose materials impart a noticeable rubber or plastic odor to potable water and beverages, affecting product taste and quality. Our odorless inner tube formulation is certified for taste-and-odor testing under NSF/ANSI 61, ensuring zero taint even in sensitive applications like bottled water and juice.
Hose collapse during hot CIP cycles
Standard PVC hoses soften and can collapse under the hot water and caustic soda used in CIP cleaning cycles, restricting flow and creating dead zones where bacteria survive. Our reinforced food-grade hose maintains its full bore at CIP temperatures up to 95°C, ensuring every cleaning cycle reaches all surfaces.
Case study: Juice plant, Thailand
How a tropical fruit juice producer eliminated contamination risk and passed an FDA audit by switching to NSF-certified hose.
Situation: A high-volume juice production plant in Thailand processing tropical fruit juices needed certified food-grade hoses for filling and transfer lines. Existing hoses lacked NSF certification, putting the operation at risk during FDA audits and creating potential contamination pathways for packaged juice products.
Solution: Upgraded all transfer lines to NSF/3A certified hoses with non-toxic, odorless inner tubes. Hoses were specified for each application — potable water, juice transfer, and CIP return lines. Each hose was supplied with full certification documentation.
Outcome: Zero contamination incidents over 18 months of continuous operation. The plant passed its subsequent FDA audit with zero non-conformances related to hose materials. Annual hose replacement costs reduced by 30% due to improved chemical resistance of the certified compounds.

Food & beverage processing hose FAQ
NSF/ANSI 51 and NSF/ANSI 61 are the primary certifications for food equipment and potable water hoses. Our food-grade PVC hoses carry both certifications, meaning they are tested for non-contaminating materials, odor-free operation, and structural integrity under food contact conditions. For dairy applications, we also offer hoses meeting 3-A Sanitary Standards.
Food-grade hoses should be flushed with potable water immediately after use, then cleaned with a mild food-safe detergent solution at 40–60°C. For CIP-compatible hoses, caustic solutions (1–2% NaOH) and acid rinses (0.5–1% nitric or phosphoric acid) can be used at temperatures up to 65°C. Always rinse thoroughly with potable water before returning to service. A final sanitization step with peracetic acid (50–100 ppm) is recommended for high-risk applications.
Our NSF-certified PVC food-grade hoses have a continuous operating temperature range of -5°C to 65°C. For hot-fill applications above 65°C, we recommend a PTFE-lined or silicone alternative. Extended operation at temperatures near the upper limit will reduce hose service life — consult our technical team for application-specific guidance.
