We solve the problems that cost industrial facilities time, materials, and safety compliance.
Hydraulic hose burst under peak pressure
Hydraulic systems experience pressure spikes that can exceed pump rating. Our spiral-wire reinforced hoses handle up to 6000 PSI with impulse-tested fittings rated for 1M+ cycles.
Chemical hose permeation
Aggressive solvents permeate standard rubber hoses, causing swelling, delamination, and safety hazards. Our PTFE-lined chemical hoses provide near-zero permeation for even the most aggressive chemicals.
Vacuum hose collapse during material transfer
Standard smooth-bore hoses collapse under full vacuum during tanker unloading. Our helix-reinforced vacuum hoses maintain full bore at 29.9 inHg.
Field result: Nigeria — Chemical plant solvent transfer
How PTFE-lined chemical hoses eliminated solvent permeation and passed safety audit.
Situation: Solvent vapors permeating through standard transfer hoses created safety hazards at a Nigeria chemical processing plant. Operators reported strong chemical odors, visible swelling in hose walls, and frequent hose change-outs that interrupted production schedules.
Solution: Installed PTFE-lined chemical hoses with EPDM cover and stainless steel braid reinforcement. The PTFE barrier layer provides near-zero permeation against the full range of solvents handled at the facility.
Outcome: Permeation eliminated, safety audit passed. Hose replacement intervals extended from 3 months to over 18 months. Operator exposure concerns resolved, and the facility regained compliance with local environmental regulations.
Industrial hose FAQ
Start with the fluid being transferred — chemical composition, temperature, and pressure. Then consider the operating environment, including UV exposure, abrasion risk, and ambient temperature range. Finally, determine whether the hose handles positive pressure (discharge) or vacuum (suction). Contact our team with your operating specs and we'll match you to the correct hose construction.
For aggressive solvents, acids, and alkalis, PTFE (Teflon) lined hoses offer near-zero permeation and broad chemical compatibility. For less aggressive chemicals, EPDM or nitrile tube compounds may suffice at lower cost. Always verify chemical compatibility before selection — our chemical resistance chart covers thousands of industrial fluids.
Our hydraulic hoses range from SAE 100 R1 (single wire braid, approximately 3000 PSI) to SAE 100 R12 (four spiral wire, up to 6000 PSI). The required rating depends on your system's maximum operating pressure, spike frequency, and desired safety factor. We impulse-test all assemblies to verify performance under cyclic loading.
Standard suction hoses are typically rated for partial vacuum (10–20 inHg). Full-vacuum rated hoses, such as our helix-reinforced rubber construction, maintain bore integrity at 29.9 inHg (nearly perfect vacuum). For tanker unloading and industrial vacuum systems, always specify full-vacuum rating to prevent collapse and flow interruption.
